Wow, this is a tough group! I know Dr. Solomon and I have a mare about to foal with a RQ baby. Why some of you thnk everything is a big cover-up or whatever is amazing.

It appears the posting of the share for sale and the move to NB was just bad timing. RQ has covered mares and even did last Sat. - and as for the post about his sales not being good - Jeez, as we've all read and posted in the past, he hasn't been managed or promoted well in the past. Despite that, he has some excellent runners and that is what I care about - making some money and having some fun watching the progeny of a great racehorse do well.

I would venture to say that many of those "throwing the first stone" or trying to find a conspiracy where there is none, would LOVE to have had a horse win the Derby and Preakness!!!!
Horses are pure love.

I would hardly say he wasn't managed well. From what I heard from a lot of people in KY, they didn't like his looks, or the looks of his foals. All the marketing in the world can't fix that.

That comment and that mentality is what is so wrong with this business. Real Quiet will get you a race horse. THAT is what breeding is about, not sales. Talk about the tail wagging the dog. If you shut down all the sales companies, racing will get along just fine. Shut down racing, and there is no sales company, no yearling sales, no two year olds sales, no breeding stock sales, no private sales. Period.

for the cost of his stud fee , he gets his share of stakes horses! and some very good race horses are out there..i think with the Pa. breeders awards starting up you might see some better mares going to him. i think Ca. Pa. , NY. and Fl. are starting to give Kentucky some competition!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it's a sad thing to do it when you kick a horse when he is down. You know everyone wants 2 year old runners, not that I agree with it, but being 117 on the 2006 2 year old winners list is not a bad thing when compared to all the other stallions on this list and where they stand and what their stud fee is. I for one hope he does well in PA and then some people will be eating their words. I will be sending one of my best mares to him and set back and enjoy all the breeder's awards and if he doesn't sell I'll also reap the owner's awards. I'm just having a hard time dealing with anyone kicking a horse when he is down! They are not true horse people!

the horse industry shocks me a little. if the pedigree forum was say 50 years old and you could look back at everything people have to say i think things would be different on here. thoroughbred breeding is like music on the radio. when the new ones come out you never hear the good old ones again on the radio. all the classic bloodlines are being washed out with "who is hot today?" horses arent as durable as they once were look at pictures of great horses from 50 years ago and more and lay those pictures next to new up and coming stallions they dont even look close in similarity. now they look like plus sized quarter horses, just my oppinion, so dont get upset! Real Quiet isnt a classic bloodline but i geuss because hes not a AP Indy, or Storm Cat he is inferior. i hope he gets a derby winner. nobody other than the general public liked Seattle Slew and look what he accomplished!

Hi Guys,

I, for one, would love to have a share in Real Quiet. I think he is very capable of getting a Derby horse in the future. I am not real sure what precipitated his little jaunt to New Bolton but hope everything comes out okay for him.

also curious about the actual syndicate agreement and if it actual syndicate or breeding rights only. Obviously the horse has been moved before- resyndicated or as many of the "new syndicates" they only have breeding rights, not actual ownership.

Halos to Halo! And Amen to Nythoroughbredvz!

Thoroughbred horse racing is horse racing, not sales and commercial breeders!

Why don't you all say a prayer for Real Quiet, you all had enough to say good when Barbaro was at New Bolton. But woooooo, conspiracy when Real Quiet is there.

It's not a conspiracy because he's there, it was because someone was trying to sell a share in him when the horse was at the clinic. That just didn't come across as good business.

i guess you summed it up perfectly............nothing against RQ..he can get you a 'SATURDAY AFTERNOON HORSE"....but who in there right mind buys a share in say...."STORM CAT"....WHEN YOU KNOW HES BEEN RUSHED OFF TO THE HOSPITAL......thats the point trying to be made.

and one more thing then i will shut up and listen......if the owners of the farms where i keep my horses did not call me ...as in real quick....as to the reason my horse or horses were shipped to a hospital....well we would part company..........and they would not do this....thats why there on the farms there on........its called "PEACE OF MIND".....
