I think a challenge with this discussion is that Mr P's sons span two or more generations if you will...

Street Cry and Smart Strike are just now having good sons go to stud.

Fappiano-Unbridled-Unbridleds Song to the many sons of Unbridleds Song now standing stud. We are in the 4th generation from Mr P here.

Ditto Gone West/Mr Greeley/WhyWhyWhy ....Again 4th generation from Mr P.

From my perspective the legacy is alive and well from many different branches. And never mind the regional pockets, ie. Allens Prospect mares in the Midatlantic, Not For Love and his good looking son at stud, Duckhorn, etc.

For versatility as a sire and having got plenty of good mares, what about Kingmambo?

kingmambo has tons of sons at stud, and I think lemon drop kid is the most expensive one at 35k, and some people aren't crazy about him. I happen to lik ehim but that's his legacy as of now.
