When I think Taylor Made, I cannot forget Artax...Storm Creek...Our Emblem...Exploit etc, and the many many many many TM clients (and/or former TM clients...hmmm) that followed their advice/recommendations, only to take it on the chin (financially).

The sad thing is that there are more farms than just Taylor Made out there that act like used car salesmen.

Jazil doesn't have much to offer at $12,500 when you can get to the equally well-bred and well-proven Mutakddim for just a little bit more (and probably deal for the right mare). For a new stallion, there is the better racehorse (and similarly bred) Bob and John standing for a third of Jazil's fee. The Too Bald family has done creditably well in producing stallions, and Bob and John had some speed. I have also heard--but can't confirm this on my own--that Jazil is crooked enough up front to merit some care in choosing mares.

Also with respect to Bob and John, Pin Oak usually does a good job supporting their stallions. Shadwell is somewhat more hit-or-miss with their stallion roster.

Fair enough...but if there was a vote taken among breeders/consignors that experienced a financial blow as a result of following the advice/recommendation(s) of an agency/farm...why do I sense that TM would likely win the dubious distinction, by a landslide?
