Perhaps one of the reasons he is doing so well is that he is Matchem tail male through Intentionally.
My feeling is that these days a great sire needs to have all three of the foundation sire lines show up on the first page. He has several lines to Herod through the French horses and then all of the Eclipse lines from everywhere else.
Without some non-Eclipse sirelines on the first pedigree page (the closer the better), I don't believe a male TB will either be a great performer or producer.

In a better economy, he'd have gone to $100,000.
