Why would anyone part with 5k on a horse that can run 1/8 of a mile. PT Barnum said it best! 16,000,000 / 5000 = 3200. He needs bigger books than Giants Causeway, and suckers, I mean people to pay the stud fee to recoup this investment.

I see absolutely no reason to breed to TGM.

Anybody ready to laugh their tail off? HD's website calls him a 'world record holder.' And the most creative way to make a horse seem like they've got qualifications goes to....

Wow. I think the last thing I'd wanna do is point out that he's really expensive and did absolutely nothing despite how he looked and cost. Some folks'll be fooled though, as always.

Plus in all likelihood Coolomore owned him when he went into the ring or had some form of understanding with HD. If so, he's not even the legitimate record holder.

Let's be fair. Maybe he's got a record we don't know about and we're just assuming it's the sales price thing. Like maybe he can count the highest with his hoof or something...

I have spoke to many people in FL, they are buzzing like crazy, staing all the pinhookers are going to be looking at them babies, they are also saying if they like him they will buy them. He has been nicked on enicks over 800 times int the last 30 days. That is pretty impressive for being 09/02/08.
Thanks,

Kathy

I'm yet to speak with a pinhooker who is buzzing about the Green Monkey!

Most wonder why they just didn't let him fade away. Why prolong such an epic failure?

Something I always wondered was if they elected to run him then why quit after just 3 races? It seems at that point there was really no turning back. There have been cases where it took a while for a horse to break his maiden and later had a decent career.

While it was apparent he couldn't run much and maybe didn't put in much effort, you'd think eventually he would've broken his maiden & maybe have won an allowance race or maybe a minor stakes. You never know, that's why it puzzled me why they just quit. They should never have run him in the first place if they had reason to believe he lacked the requsite talent.

What will happend is HD will give allot of breedings away. They always do if you bring in 1 or 2 mares to them. They are telling people that they will support his foals in the sales ring. I would not breed to him but trust me plenty of people will here. :?

For every stud fee they collect they can buy 5 of his foals.

I would breed a couple of my quarter horse mares to him - I could always use a pretty hunter (and lord knows I don't need speed!). :D :D
