I second the motion on Langfuhr and Put It Back (awesome synthetic stats).

Out of Place looks good at this fee & he won't be around forever.

DDT hit the nail on the head - any of the sires he's listed will complete the sentence.

If you want to run on the grass, Sky Classic, all the way.

If you happen to be in or near Ontario, check out the stats on Raj Waki.

Rahy

At the very top of your price range, ($50,000.00), I'd have to say Rahy.

And if the foal is a filly, all the better.

A few more whom I have not seen mentioned and I agree heartily with many already mentioned:

Dixieland Band (at $50k---is he going down for '09?)
Gulch
Cryptoclearance
Cherokee Run
Theatrical

These I like with the idea of breeding/foaling in a state program to pick up both breeders and owners incentives in addition to the purse money (PA for instance):

Alphabet Soup
Montbrook
Marquetry(under $10k)
Pioneering(under $10k)
Skip Away (#s look much better than I expected)
Louis Quatorze (under $10k)

I like Include as one to keep watch on for future consideration.

I second the motion on Not For Love ($25,000). He's over 50 stakes winners now, everything he throws can run. Plus, his progeny sell well at auction. Best bargain in the country, in my opinion.

Totally agree with Bohemia-Not For Love.
His offspring run short or long, dirt or turf, rain or shine.

Dixieland Band is listed at 30k for 09, you def cant find a better stallion at that price. I also agree on Pioneering as he is probley at least in the top 10 value racehorse sires.

What I find fascinating in reading everyone's take on this is that there really is something for everyone....or rather everyone's mare. Certainly these stallions span the spectrum on bloodlines, size, bone, correctness and what they tend to throw. Definitely gives you many opportunities to improve upon your mare for very reasonable amounts of money.

Would guess with the economy that some of these older stallions' fees might have negotiating room. And wouldn't you just love a filly for your broodmare band out of these??!!
