Oh and is that why there are still other states runners coming to compete in Ca? If it was so bad why do they come!

Five horse field, WHERE? In your head, not Santa Anita maybe in the fair meets, thats prob were your getting your stats.
And what Turf Paradise doesnt have issues??! Yeah I gues when you wake up and see that it not just about breeding that makes a horse weak and I GUESS if you totally dont see the TRAINING aspect, I GUESS I might see your point... IN another century... OR two....

13% OMG BOTHER ME WHEN IT DROPS BELOW 50%.. 13% what a Joke....

BDW
I just dont like people disrespecting a state that has alot of horse racing and has been doing it for a VERY long time.
This pick on California, I dont care for.
As far as adding stallions of quality, why Cali why not Oregon, Washington, Nv. Utah?? ?
There are lots of tracks running in Ca. and I am a frequent vistor of the chrb.ca.gov to give updates as well as the Ctba.com.
I see many people not give a hoot about the Cal stallions there, Since I am going to be racing in California, Have a cal bred mare and will be racing in California, I am offended when people complain without facts about the the racing there and the quality of stallions there. I believe that Sea Of Secrets, Unusual Heat, Bertrando are good sires, there are others there that deserve a little more respect than a blow off.
Zinn is simply right about the Economics, drugs and my two sence is training style. But I dont think that we should point fingers on JUST California and Artificial surfaces. If they are sore, hurt Pull them up and a good old fashioned Lay Up is best, no matter the state.
I see that the good jockeys are staying, Rafael, Gomez, Gryder are still in California and I see that some of the best trainers are coming, Pletcher, Drysdale ect. So yes you can say Im fumming under the collar BDW when I see someone bash California Horse Racing.
Im generally and very agreeable person but not this time.
Long Live Cal Horse Racing, Whomever Owns them, and whatever surface they use!
