In somewhat related news, just talked to Juddmonte and they won't be setting fees until after the November sale.

In still more semi-related news from my neck of the woods, Ocala Stud has Montbrook at 7500 and Concerto at 3500 for 2010.

Montbrook at 7.5 is a great deal.

Now thats people who understand the horse biz.

I will say, Ive dealt with Ocala Stud several times, and they are one of the best farms Ive ever had dealings with.

I also like Concerto, if I remember correctly, he is very high on the list of progeny with a high number of starts. Stamina and durability are two characteristics I really like to see, and Concerto has the durability criterion in spades.

Absolutely love Concerto. I know it's asking for a miracle but sure wish he'd come east.

This guy should be in Kentucky at $25,000 +

He has sired Bellamy Road who stands in KY for $10,000.
Plus millionaire Finallymadeit.

Why send a mare to an uproven stallion for $10k when you can get his sire for $5k????????

Thanks for the stats on Concerto, dublino, I'd go there rather than to the son hands down.
