Thanks Emma!
I didnt realize there was a Rahy racing in NZ!
MY BIG dilema with Whatever is the fact that she is an October foal - obviously okay for Southern Hemisphere - not so great for us Northern Hemisphere people ...
She turns 2 this October 2005, so to bring her out next year as a 3 year old would be plain stupid, IMO, unless we planned on trying to catch a few races towards the end of the year only. The other option is to bring her out as a 4 year old which is kind of getting a little late, I would think ...
I think with her build and the success of her sire (Go Corp) I think she could be a dynamite prospect for the track. We will just have to wait and see once she arrives
Thanks again for that little tidbit of information!

Off the top of my head there are three stallions by Rahy standing in NZ. Um Electronic Zone, City on a Hill and Howbaddouwantit.
Howbad's progeny have been an outstanding success with his 2yo's (oldest are 2) doing a very good job.
Will be interesting to see how your filly does
Personally I think I would just do the same with her as your others just 6 months later and then let her tell you in her attitude and looks etc if she's ready.
Both City on a Hill and Electronic Zone are chestnut stallions possibly sabinos (the new stallion register hasn't arrived and last years is in the shed) and howbad I think is bay with white markings.

Umrigar is Sold
Just for the update, but I'm sure TC will inform all of you....
A wonderful person who really loves this guy has recently purchased him and he will remain in Ontario for breeding.
I'm sure the new owner will post in the near future with updated photos etc.

Umrigar Sold
It's nice that the stallion got a new owner but have they mentioned that he is a rig? How do people feel breeding to a stallion that is a known rig? It's not news to anybody who breeds TB's in Ontario since it was well know, and I don't know if he is going to stand at a TB station but it sure is something I would stay away from.

Well Derbylover
As the person that now owns Umrigar I haven't really "mentioned" much about him to anyone - and I haven't offered him to any mare owners. He's only just arrived with me and it's July. He's just chilling out and relaxing at home.
As for him being a rig...well...no dear he's not. He had a fully decended "pair" when he went into training and then suffered an injury to one which caused it to retract and made him uncomfortable so it was removed. So no - not a rig - a stallion that damaged a testicle and had to have one removed. Big difference.
So - since you are saying false things about him I have to assume you either have no real knowledge of the situation, or you have an axe to grind with me. I just think it's a shame you went after a nice horse's reputation to try and do it.
And to answer your final question of how people feel breeding to a stallion that's a rig...well maybe you should address that question to the hundreds of people that have sent mares to AP Indy over the years
If anyone is interested in knowing what the real story with Umrigar is I am more then happy to share it and am quite open to people knowing who I am and where he is. He's lovely and I'm very proud to have him in my barn
