I'm afraid not, since the dam of Holy Bull, SHARON BROWN, was not a graded stakes winner.
Bravo Bull, however, is out of a G-1 stakes winning mare,

BRAVE RAJ (USA) 1984 9-6-1-0 $933,650,
and she is the dam of
RUSSIAN TANGO (USA) F 1990 by NIJINSKI and she in turn of

EUROSILVER (USA) dkb/br C 2001 UNBRIDLEDS SONG whose CARO daughter dam, TROLLEY SONG , is not a stakes winner as far as I can tell

I'm afraid not. While Preach, dam of Pulpit, was indeed a Grade ! stakes winner, dam Viviana by Nureyev was not.

Winnings: 12 Starts: 3 - 2 - 1, $98,839

Won: Prix Melisande LR. (FR), Prix des Tuileries LR. (FR). 2nd: Prix De Psyche Gr.3 (FR).

O.k.

Thanks for all the brainstorming help/suggestions. How about going the next step up which will be harder, of course.

Condition:

sire has to be out of a G-1 stakes winner
dam has to be out of a G-1 stakes winner

Current Example:

BARONIAL C, 2005 DP = 11-6-16-0-1 (34) DI = 2.78 CD = 0.76 - GSV = 73.76

by KINGMAMBO which is out of G-1 stakes winning mare
MIESQUE* b. 1984 16-12-3-1 $2,096,517

and ex PERSONAL ENSIGN*, G-1 stakes winning mare by PRIVATE ACCOUNT

Here is another example:

MY FLAG (USA) ch. M, 1993 DP = 6-6-19-0-1 (32) DI = 2.05 CD = 0.50 - GSV = 74.43 - 20 Starts, 6 Wins, 3 Places, 4 Shows Career Earnings: $1,557,057

by EASY GOER, out lof RELAXING* [supreme*]*

ex PERSONAL ENSIGN* (supreme *]

* G-1 stakes winner;
G-1 stakes producer,
Reine-de-Course

Cathy D wrote:Hi SB,

I understood that you are looking for stallions whose dam is a graded winner and whose sire is out of a mare who is a graded winner. To clarify my earlier comment which it seems was misunderstood, I said "a lot", not "all", of the AP Indy, Storm Cat, and Mr. P sons would fit your criteria. It was offered as a suggestion of sire lines to investigate. :D

New Trieste and Old Trieste.

Dam is Lovlier Linda (G1 winner)
Sire A.P. Indy whose dam is Weekend Surprise (G3 winner).

Pure Prize ALMOST belongs to the top elete group of rare horses whose dam and sire's dam are both G-1 stakes winners. Terlingua almost pulled it off, but not quite.
All sons of Storm Cat aren't possibly out of stakes winning mares, leave along G-1 stakes winners. FORESTRY, for example, is out of an unraced mare, VICTORIA BEAUTY.
Full siblings PURE PRIZE, GOOD REWARD, and ELECTRICITY5 are out an amazing mare. Notice that GOOD REWARD ran on Turf. This is also an interesting case, in which their granddam, OH WHAT A DANCE, was an unraced daughter of the superb BLITEY * which was not only a G-2 stakes winner herself, but produced top G-1 stakes winners.
Not quite sure, but I believe Yankee Gentleman's dam was not a stakes winner.

Yankee Gentleman's dam, Key Phrase, is a grade 1 winner.
