I've been in Texas for a while now. Hope I can help out though I've not been to Tyler (Rose Capital).

sb, I'm a transplanted texan. Have friends near, and in, Tyler. Any questions, feel free to email me.

As far as Festival Of Light goes. I've posted on several different forums about him. I saw him b4 they started breeding him, and thank goodness I didn't like him! Didn't like his conformation, nor the look in his eye. What really bothers me now is that I continue to hear things about AP Indy throwing bad temperaments. Never heard anything b4 FOL. Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. This year I've had someone tell me that Essence of Dubai is a  and supposedly Corinthian is a nut case. Small sampling, but I'll steer clear.

But Essence of Dubai and Corinthian are both Pulpits. You don't know if that's the AP Indy or the Preach coming out -- apparently Preach ain't the kindest mare in the world. I have heard of Pulpits being difficult but not Indys.

A.P. Indy throws bad temperments? How funny. I hadn't heard that although I haven't been around a lot of his progeny or grandkids. His half brother Eavesdropper is a sweetheart.

New Trieste has a great temperment (full to Old Trieste).

I thought most AP Indys were as good natured as the man himself. I've observed that AP Indys seem to be hams, though :D

Our A.P. Indy son is a big baby. We don't ever have to use a chain with him... not even when we're breeding mares.

The Pulpit blood is where you get the difficulty. His dam is somewhat of a nutcase but more vindictive than anything to be around and you're talking to someone who felt honored to be around her right before she tried to bite.

Pulpit doesn't seem particularly aggressive. In fact, both times I've seen him, he was very calm. Is he mean?
