probably a good idea to change the thread title? A tad misleading?

Guilty in horse farm animal abuse

Postby Pawtucket » Thu Oct 02, 2008 10:31 am

From The Evening Tribune at:

http://www.eveningtribune.com/homepage/ ... imal-abuse

"....

As a condition of her plea, Trupia also tearfully gave up ownership rights to her animals that were seized by the SPCA. Those animals will be adopted out. Upon proof of ownership, horses owned by third parties will be returned to their owners.

...."

Once Dunny is identified, he'll be looking for a new home.

I got an email from the Finger Lakes SPCA saying that the stallion they euthanized was Dunsinyne. When they arrived at the farm a month ago he was down and unable to rise. They identified him from a photo and tattoo.

When I read the whole length of this thread my heart sinks, then I am mad as hell. Why on earth is this woman not in an insane asylum? The price of freedom really is eternal vigilance.

When I found out for sure he was dead I was crushed and pissed all at once. I'm no stringbean but my animals all eat FIRST. I don't know what kind of mind can do this to animals.

I had a feeling it was not going to end well. Poor Dunny. He was thin from being rescued when he got there. Then obviously down hill from there on.
Now that she has plead guilty. I am still pissed. Obviously it was plea bargain. I would of hoped that she was prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

What a tragic end to a hard luck story. Poor Dunny. If there's a heaven for horses, he's more than earned a spot.
