That horse was a crow and isnt worth 2 dead fish. Its tragic horses like that are stallions, especially in a statebred program as solid as LA. They run for a lot of cake down there, youd think they would have some good regional stallions. Not that they dont, but he certainly doesnt fit that bill.

Sorry to be gone for so long. I have been totally bogged down with work..its got to pay for the horses.

Good suggestons all, thank you all very much.

Since writing my original post I have taken a 2nd look at the conditions for a LA bred foal. I was sure that i had seen something about an out-of state mare having to stay in LA for 6 months and until Aug. but the most recent posts I see say that she has to either be permantly domiciled in LA or else has to remain there after foaling, be bred to a LA stallion, but here is the kicker..stay in the state until her next foal drops. This means for an out-of-stater, I would have to board my mare in LA for about a year and a half. Yikes.

I should call the official LA Bred folks and confirm the rules. I am rethinking about sending mares to LA now.
