El Prado is likely the ONLY one he's seeing in quantity, simply because Adena owned El Prado and will likely have mares by him.

I forgot about poor Royal Academy. Hopefully he's enjoying being an old man in your part of the world.

His biggest problem, even with the US disdain for distance and turf, is that he started at a $30,000 fee, way too high for what the market even at the time.

Saw him only a month or two ago, he's still all class.

Anything in particular you liked about - or just the whole package?

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.

Wallinga lives in Aussie--s/he was referring to Royal Academy, who used to be on the shuttle and now lives down under full time.

I saw North Light during his first season at Adena. There was not really anything that stands out in my mind, except that I thought he really belonged in Europe and his fee was too high.

I was underwhelmed by him physically. His race record is no better than horses who stand for less than half of his fee, and there aren't enough 12 furlong turf races in the US for offspring to succeed at.

Until Bodua, who recently won a restricted stakes at Woodbine in Ontario, North Light had not had any offspring of note.

I believe he is still quite over priced at $10K.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

I had the opposite impression from madelyn. Physically, I thought North Light was stunning.
