My miscommunication at least landed another photo. Fury was a T.V. show back, well a long time ago. Fury was the name of the black stallion in the show.

I wondered if you were referring to the TV show when you referred to "Fury." You have to be pretty ancient to know about that show! I used to watch it every Sat morning as a kid.

I used to watch Fury back when I was a child too. Fury's person said he was the smartest horse and understood every word. He even knew when the human actors messed up and would go back to his spot to do the scene over. I used to watch other shows with horses like Roy Rogers with Trigger and Buttermilk and the Lone Ranger "Hi Ho Silver".

My brother and I stand G2 millionaire Tejano Run (2nd Derby, 3rd BC Juvenile), currently 2nd in Ontario, not that anyone up here would know or care. Once his 1st crop of Ontario foals start running next year he should be raking in even more money. And maybe people will notice, since G3 winners at Hollywood Park are too far away for anyone up here to see. It baffels me that a horse with around 40% Graded Stakes winners from Stakes winners gets ignored with all of the Restricted stakes they run here. ok rant over. I'll be waiting for my breeders awards the next couple of years.
We also own and stand Impeachment (3rd Ky Derby and Preakness) who should turn into a nice Regional sire once his first crop of Ontario runners hit the track next year. He may end up shuttleing this year since there has been some interest in S.A. and is very fertile stallion and as game a breeder as they come.

"Ancient", ouch.... that hurts. I prefer to think of us as fellow members of AARP. Fury was my fav Sat. am show and Sky King came on next. That and reading Flicka and Black Beauty tens of times is probably what led to my addiction of TBs.

Cisco Kid and Hopalong too. And Soundfast, I read many accounts of Fury's intelligence though I hadn't heard he could direct. Make sense though considering how many actors move into that profession. It is a shame he wasn't a thoroughbred. As a kid I always thought he was. I am not going to look this up, so if I make an error here feel free to pounce, but I believe he was a saddlebred.

Raking in more money is always good in this business. I like Tejano Run's pedigree and he has produced a couple of big horses too.

I remember Impeachment from the 2000 season. Came quite a ways to get third in the AR Derby. When I see a Kentucky Studs go to southern hemisphere duty it is just matter of fact, but to me it adds credibility for Impeachment. Do you think anything similar along those lines as well?

I love your rants - they cut to the heart of the matter! Your two boys are awesome and certainly don't get the cred they deserve. Is it because they're in Niagara and not standing at one of the big Toronto area farms? Anyway, I'm a big fan of those two and I'm glad to hear of Impeachment possibly going to S.A. What a libido!

Hi Guys,

Acquired the stallion Worldly Manner, by Riverman out of Lady Pastor, late in the season. Moved him to Texas after getting a partner on him.
Plan on covering mares next season.

Jim, somehow I thought WM was suppose to go to LA. Glad you've got him in TX.

Good Luck,

My partner and I stand Tinners Way, Special Rate and Sand Ridge. The breeding season was good for all three in that we hit the numbers we were projecting. Sand Ridge (Known Fact- Skybox by Spend A Buck) first foals are two year olds. This initial crop was small compared to the last two and the current season just concluding. The trainers that have them are quite positive on them and some of them will be making their debuts at Lone Star later this month. Special Rate (Pulpit-Viviana by Nureyev) is concluding his third season and his numbers continue to grow. Both Special Rate and Sand Ridge or syndicated which is very beneficial for both the mare owners and the stallions. The Texas crops of Tinners Way are just getting to the track. We have had a some nice allowance winners to date, and there are several more being readied. All three stand at Key Ranch, who also stand Uncle Abbie, Lil's Lad and Dixieland Heat.
