This information is protected by the stud farm for various reasons - one of which is that many breeders would not appreciate a surge of phone calls about a mare they may own in foal to a particular stallion. Another is that when a horse hits (a la Medaglia D'Oro) the farm that stands him wants the edge of knowing who has his offspring for potential private transactions or recruitment into their own sales consignment.
A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries.

I may be stating the obvious but are you aware of the AEI and Cl statistics? There are many such statistics tracked for each stallion, hence when you see someone posting a comment about the book of mares for a particular stallion it is probably related to these statistics for a particular stallion.
A stallion with a Cl rating of 3.8 has covered a much better book of mares than a stallion with a book of mares rated 1.2. These statistics are not perfect by any means but they can give you a very rough idea about a particular stallion, as with any statistic the more samples you get the better the data. Young stallions with not many foals racing provide almost useless data in these catagories.
I assume most posters know this type of information but if you are new to these stats I can give you more info on them and other stats commonly tracked. hoped that helps.
best regards Brendan

In the Thoroughbred Times Today edition of Nov. 25th, a list of Taylor Made Stallions stud fees has Northern Afleet @ $10,000 for 2010.

Didn't know this was available....Looks like you'd get all registered foals as of the report.
