I'm wondering if there is a mistake in the db with regard to this horse's pedigree????
The only reference I could find on the internet was to a sale at the 1999 Dec. Mares Sale of a "b colt Osool(US) by Nashwan(USA) out of the mare Histoire(FR) as offered by Castle Arundel Stables and purchased by D Paraskevopoulos for $3500. This was a low value for the subject sale. This db shows Osool as being out of the same mare but by Danzig, born in 1996 which would make him 3, coming 4 at the time of the referenced sale. IF he is out of Histoire, a very productive dam, that might be enough but I'd wonder about his soundness/conformation.

Trying to help out... but the only Osool in my '06 APR is a 1996 model by Danzig out of Histoire (FR). He is shown with one start in the UK.

The only start I can find is in a 3yo race at Newcastle, England. Osool finished 9th of 11. The comments in the chart in the running of the race said "Osool is extremely well related but proved green and coltish and, after taking a big walk in the market, showed nothing."
Osool was owned and bred by Shadwell Estates and trained by Ed Dunlop, the current trainer of Ouija Board.
Sorry that is all I could find.

If you want to breed to Osool, purchase some Pleasant Tap mares and you will find this bloodline affinity has produced many chefs of the breed.
