When a stallion is line-bred 4 X 4 to a male individual, the offspring is stamped to look like the stallion.
When the stallion is line-bred 4 X 4 to a female individual the colts from the mating will resemble a filly and not the dominance of the male.
When you have a male or female family that is line-bred to the same, and the family is only a BMS and not a sire of sires, what should one do to carry on the male sire line.
A TB breeder would breed those individuals to a family that has been a producer of sire of sires for many generatiions to breed out the female family that only produces those BMS.
Alleged, Vaguely Noble and Round Table are examples of those stallions that produced only BMS and not sire of sires.

you want to teach someone??
hey do you have the patience and time to help a newbie like me who has a stallion that wants to get the best results in the breeding shed --I read this forum daily and have been reading sites to try to learn the line breeding but here I am as confused as ever...and to think I spent 5 years in the Army as a lab tech
If someone could take the time and explain the basics with me then maybe just maybe I could get a little smarter
right now we have just been breeding by profiles.
