Does anyone have any thoughts on this stallion? I don't know why he didn't do well at the track (injury or didn't want to run?) but he has a great pedigree.

Would you breed a mare to him? Why or why not?

I've seen him and can't say I was that impressed with him -- not that I would expect a pretty boy with Sunday Silence over Slew, but he turns out quite noticeably on both forelegs and has big, plattery, shallow feet. Does have a pretty fair amount of bone and substance (again, not surprising considering the breeding), but Lou-Roe has several young stallions with better race records, more attractive looks, and more correct conformation.

I confess I did notice his big feet in his 'walking' video.

He was at Hurstland Farms a couple years back right?

Yeah I remember those big shallow feet. I also remember bing not the slightest bit impressed with him. Nothing special to look at..

Austin Power is lacking class in the 1st 2 dams as their APR is very medicore.

Louis, are we looking at the same AustinPower? Because the one I'm seeing has a first dam who has mostly been producing in Japan (hence no APR) and the blue hen Ballade as his second dam.

Kimberly Mine:

Yes, you are right. There is more than one Austin Power.
