Brooke their is a nick of the century at work in my search of PV.

Heres how the story goes When Pleasant Colony and his son Pleasant Tap were bred to sons and grandsons of Northern Dancer their was the nick of the century working overtime.

Follow this pattern closely, when PC was bred to the following BMS North Jet, Shareef Dancer, The Minstrel, Green Desert, Green Dancer, One For All, and Lyphard all of these BMS were sons or grand sons of Northern Dancer.

Pleasant Tap and Pleasant Variety both produced superior nicks with sons and grandsons of Northern Dancer.

PV was a successful sire in BRZ. and produced a prolific amount of superior runners with a ND grand son named Ghadeer.

I would advise you to purchase a mare that is granddaughter of ND and you will be breeding to the nick of the century.

Good Luck in your quest of breeding a champion. Louis.

Louis I agree with your notes here but unless Tennessee borders Brazil that pairing may have to wait.

Brooke I show 19 SW including 2 G1SWs. of these several have races 25+ and over. Really like the TV lark and Bull Lea on the bottom half of this guy.

If you feel like sharing, what prompts the interest in this sire?

Brooke : If your have a mare by Pleasant Variety you would breed her to a grand son of ND, if the stallion is 3 X 3 to ND all the better.

well actually im researching one of my mares pedigrees more in depth. Her name is Dagny Taggert, i actually purchased this mare from someone on this board. Her 2nd Dam is Shamrock Show by Erins Isle, she is Half to Pleasant Variety. And a stakes producer herself. Her 1st dam has some very modest winners but it was her second dam that was of interest to me. Also as i was reserching her 3rd dam i found that she is a half to the broodmare sire of Bertrando, BUFFALO LARK. Im trying to deicide on a stallion for next year for Dagny Taggert.

brooke I was hoping you were going to say that you inherited a boat load of money and decided to import Pleasant Variety to the states. He would be a nice mate for Dagny too.

Dagny Taggert has a nice pedigree you can do a lot with. Dont know what range of fee your looking at but put her next to Pollards Vision and see what you think.

Brooke... I looked long and hard at that mare for Rocking Trick and was sorely tempted... just have too many mares of my own.

Check out what Michael Ventura said about Peaks and Valleys in the Pedigree Post article on Rocking Trick.
