Forty Niner--ready to retire?

He's having serious issues getting many mares in foal. Fewer than six out of 45 are pronounced in foal where he stands in Japan (not sure what that means..I mean if you know it's less than 6, presumably there's a number like 4 or 5 but why not say that). For those keeping up on Old Friends, have they looked into bringing him back and do you think it's likely they or anyone else will try to do so at this point? I think it's more a question of who but I thought Old Friends were keeping an eye on certain stallions in particular.

Hopefully Old Friends can bring him back to Kentucky. I would say his days as a stallion are over and I hope they can bring him back soon.

Forty Niner

I believe Forty Niner is standing at the same farm as Charismatic. Old Friends' contact in Japan has definitely been keeping an eye out for Charismatic so presumably they know all about the situation of Forty Niner. I would not be surprised if they were able to get him back given their contacts. I just hope they have enough donations gathered to cover shipping.
