Pedigree Query

Is this stallion still standing in NY? What the scoop on him? He was bred by the Mabees and was a Group 1 winner in GB & FR. I viewed a OTTB gelding by him the other day. Very nice. Good size. Nice conformation. The gelding was out of a ND line mare being trained as a jumper.

He is still standing at Mill Creek Farm, just outside Saratoga.

I bred one of my Dr Fager line mares to him two years ago. I have a very nice yearling by him. I think he is a very nice NY state stallion. One of the better ones in my opinion and he seems to be especially good at producing broodmares. Hope that helps.

We were thinking about sending our mare to Lycius (she's been approved for him: good nick together) though he is getting up there a bit. I think the only knock I've ever heard is the dreaded "turf" sire propensity, which we like, but you know what that does to the stallion's commercial value on this side of the pond.
He's a very good looking stallion.
