ITOBA (Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association) is a non-profit organization, and our Stallion Seasons Auction is our primary fund raiser. We use the money from the auction to fund the things we do all year long to help the Thoroughbred industry and the people involved. We believe that we offer a better advertising value for your donated season than any other state seasons auction.
We hold our auction on Starquine, which gets in excess of 100,000 hits every day. Your stallion will receive the full posting, including the 4-dam pedigree and race record. In addition to this, we encourage donators to provide a picture of your stallion and any top selling points that you would like included in the posting. We will begin listing donated seasons a month prior to the auction, so your stallion will receive quite a bit of "exposure time." Your stallion will also be included in the email blasts that Starquine sends out to every person in their email database, which is one of the most extensive email databases in the Thoroughbred industry.
In addition to the world-wide exposure your stallion will receive on Starquine, we will advertise our auction, and therefore your stallion, in both the Blood-Horse and the Thoroughbred Times. We will also advertise in several other places, such as the ITOBA newsletter, several racetracks, the ITOBA web site, etc.
The ITOBA think tank has been hard at work to make this year's stallion seasons auction our best ever. We should have a larger auction this year than in years past, which will attract more interest and draw more people in to view the listings. The auction will be held from Friday, December 8th through Saturday, December 16th. Both online bidding and phone bidding will be available.
We would greatly appreciate support from anyone who would be willing to donate season(s) to their stallion(s). If anyone has any questions about donating, please contact me.
Thanks!

First, let me just say that you guys are wonderful. We've already had several generous donations directly from this board... ITOBA, and ME in particular, really appreciates your support!
For those of you who have asked, or who might be wondering how to donate seasons... if you will provide me with your mailing address and/or fax number, I will get a donation form sent to you. Then, you simply fill out the donation form and return it to me.
Thanks again to those of you who are offering your support to ITOBA!

I've had several more stallion owners from this board contact me since my last post. I really want to express my gratitude to all of you for your generosity.
I have mailed and/or faxed donation forms to everyone who has contacted me to date, so please let me know if you haven't received anything yet.
Also, there is now a printable donation form on the ITOBA web site, so anyone who is interested in donating can go to http://www.itoba.com and print the form from there. Then, just mail it or fax it back to me. Anyone who's donating from this board, though, if you do print the form from the web site and mail it in, please include a note with the form so I know that you're from this board.
Thanks!

I have received several donations from this board and again I want to thank all of you for your generosity. There are still a few people who inquired about donating who's paperwork I haven't received... please let me know if you have any questions or maybe did not receive the paperwork that was sent.
A running list of stallions will soon appear on the ITOBA web site (hopefully later this week) and we will start preparing the list for the Starquine site now as well. To anyone who has donated... please be sure to send pictures of your stallions so we can include them with your Starquine listing. You can email the pictures to me or send me an email telling me where an online picture of your stallion is that we can pull onto the Starquine listing.
We will accept stallion season donations up until the start of the auction, but to get the best advertising exposure I need to have everything in hand as quickly as possible so your stallion gets the full exposure for the greatest amount of time.
Thanks again to everyone who has donated, and I'll be sure to let everyone know when the stallion lists are posted so all you bidders can go check it out!
