Just wondering what the perception in Wa is about He's Tops. Are his mares carrying him or is he doing well for the quality of mares he's getting? Do his babies want to go long or short? Do they get to the track early or late? Do trainers like having them in their barns or merely tolerate them?

He's had some solid runners and some that can't run at all. His babies have done well at all distances. The trainers I know who've had 'em have really liked them.

Thanks for the info. Was asking because he is similarly bred to a young Alberta sire named Rosetti who's first crop is 2 this year. Rosetti's 2yo haven't exactly been lighting things up but a couple have run okay.

Rosetti was that $1 million Seattle Slew 2-year-old that (I believe Coolmore connections bought) in '01. He had one start (a win), and then never raced again, so they sold him to the Alberta breeders. I wonder what his story is...ie. injury?
There was a Rosetti colt that broke his maiden here on Saturday. It was a 3.5 furlong baby race, but he rallied to get up in time. His name is Diplomatic Honor.
