Whatever happened to...

..stallions moving from the Big Market to regional markets? It really is a shame (for everyone but the stallion owner) when horses like Vicar, Exploit, Silver Charm are sold to other countries rather than go be the big fish in a regional market.

In regional markets now, they get blah stud that must make names for themselves or they get nothing. (I'm thinking in Washington of Kentucky Lucky, Matricule, Vitesse, Zayzoom). Just really a shame. Then when one pans out (Snowbound is kind of an example) off they go. :?

I agree with you 100%.

Some stallions have gone regional: Artax, Real Quiet. :D

True but did you look at the number of mares bred to Real Quiet in the 2006 foal data that just came out? 14! What could be the reason?
