Anyone know anything about this guy ? Know he had a nice weanling sale in 2005 but haven't heard much regarding his yearlings, conformation etc...

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on Century City's future? I'm guessing that he will not be around long unless a 2YO hits fast. His stud fee has went from $12,500. to $5,000. in a couple of years and he hasn't even had a horse to run yet. Is his pedigree viewed as a turf pedigree only? Does it look like his babies should run early or will they take some time to grow into themselves? Any information is welcome, thanks.

Boy ; since I originally asked about him he's received absolutely no respect in the sales ring & I don't see any runners either. I'm staying far away until I see something.

With all the polytracks going in around the country, I would think that this stallion has a chance to succeed. Him and others that were viewed as turf only sires should find more people willing to take a chance on them. I guess only time will tell if buyers also start to shift to turf/polytrack pedigree's.

I have a pretty nice century city yearling good conformation, attitude, and is up there in the field races with the other colts overall pretty happy with him. But we will just have to see he'll be going into training in Sept.

I saw him as a yearling in Ireland when he was sold at Goffs. Nice looking boy, too bad his dam died.

I saw him a few years ago while he was fighting a skin allergy attack that looked pretty nasty. I thought his appearance and pedigree were super otherwise. Being a son of Danzig with a turf background likely will later be a plus for racing and sales success, but not if the babies aren't big and beautiful will they sell well until then.
