Preliminary Stallion Seasons Auction list:
http://itoba.com/2007_stallion_season_auction_2.htm
57 seasons listed so far, and I have
several more confirmed, just waiting on the official paperwork before they are added. Our Kentucky guy is meeting with several farms over the next two weeks and plans to pull in some more KY stallions during that time, and donations from several other states are in the works but again I can't post until the official paperwork is completed. The list on our web site will be updated
frequently, as we get more confirmed donations. Starquine is currently working on our page and should have it ready to open for viewing soon... and stallions will be added there as we receive them as well.
So KEEP CHECKING BACK!

And a big Thank You to our donators...
And if anyone has a picture they'd like to share of a listed stallion who currently has no picture, I'd be happy to post it with the donation...

We changed the url address so I updated the link in the first post. We now have 81 seasons posted, and several more that have been promised to us, but we can't post those until we receive the paperwork. I think we will easily end up with over 100 seasons total this year. There are some nice ones coming... I won't give them away... you'll have to come back and check again to find out who they are!
They are being listed on Starquine but they've been hitting one snag after another with the programming since they have a new auction format now. All 81 seasons and pictures to most of them are in the Starquine database but they have to do quite a bit of tweaking by hand before they show up as active... so check them out on the ITOBA web site for now while the Starquine page is still under construction.
Thanks everyone!

They will all start at $100 unless a donator has placed a reserve on the season. Bidding will be in $100 incriments.

Are you going to be getting some commercial KY stallions? Any more KY stallions coming on the list from some of the bigger farms?

Six are currently listed from Kentucky, and we
do have more promised to us, but we don't have the paperwork back yet. We also have representation at the sale talking to people from the Kentucky farms and they will be bringing back season donations as well.
There are now 10 additional seasons, bringing the total listed to 91. The additional seasons have been sent to the webmaster to add to the ITOBA list. He usually gets things added pretty quickly. They have also been entered into the Starquine site where they should be activated soon, so look for all
91 seasons to be viewable on both sites later today.

This is fantastic.

Way to go.
On an aside, we now know where the heck Buckle Down Ben went. I haven't finished looking through all of them but so glad the lil guy's off eating grass and meeting girlfriends. He dropped off of my Stable Watch so I was a little curious. Obviously he wasn't a Classic winner but I try to keep track of a few of them just because I wonder about them.

We're up to 111 seasons so far and they're still coming in with several more promised.
Several of the seasons are to stallions that have been discussed here in the Mating Advice or Stallions forums. They're all up on Starquine now as well as the ITOBA site, so you can get a complete list either place.
We'll keep adding as they keep coming in. It looks like there will be a pretty nice selection this year.

Heidilady, wish I'd known you were wondering about Buckledown Ben -- I could have told you he was livin' the good life in Pennsylvania.
I met him about a year ago when he arrived in Pennsylvania. He seems to be doing well & is at a place where he'll be well-cared-for. There's a very nice mare in foal to him on the Xanthus Farm website [Barbara's Song]. She's a big, correct mare & I know her last foal by a different sire was even nicer than she is, so I'm looking forward to seeing Ben's foal, if they're still in the neighborhood next spring.

We're up to 117 now, and several of those are new. There were 119 but one stallion with two seasons entered was sold and moved. We do still have some that have promised seasons to us that we haven't received, so hopefully the paperwork on those will come in quickly.
The auction will run from December 8 - December 16th. I would suggest to anyone wanting to bid that you go ahead and make sure you have an active account with Starquine now so there are no activation issues when you go to bid.
Also, there are some terms and conditions of the auction that any bidders will want to read... you can read the details here:

There are three seasons not listed on the ITOBA list yet; I've sent the info. to the webmaster so they should be added soon. The full 117 are on Starquine right now though...
