Just wanted to warn everyone. An article in The Horse states, Counterfiet Clenbuterol (Ventipulmin syrup) killing horses in Louisiana. 6 or more dead, 10 seriously affected. Deaths resulting from just one dose. The imitation drug has been smuggled in, probably from Beliz, and is used by trainers to aid in breathing. The indications for use are supposed to be chronic airway obstruction or allergies. Boehringer-Ingelheim is the ONLY licensed manufacturer of Ventipulmin syrup, which contains a small amount of Clenbuterol. The imitation drug contains much higher concentrations and is deadly to horses. If you possess a Clenbuterol product which is not made by Boehringer-Ingelheim, you should immidiately contact a state vet. This will help to track the deadly substance and hopefully protect horses from the use of this poison that is being illegally sold to unsuspecting vets and trainers in the U.S.

I also heard and it is only hear say not proven as yet that a trainer at Delaware Park was filling old bottles with aloe vera gel and selling them. And the trainer in question is a punk. If it proves true then I will say his name but to protect him what is it innocent until proven guilty?
