We do not own this stallion, but we will be standing him here in 2007, so I am interested in getting some insight into what mares might match well with him.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Just quickly off the top of my head, his dam's family seems to cross with Turn-To line stallions -- there's Hail to Reason in his own pedigree & Sundance Ridge, the Cox's Ridge son who stands in Massachusetts who seems to get an incredible percentage of black-type offspring from the opportunities he has, is out of that family.
That's just a quick thought. I'm sure others will have more.

Aside from Turn-To, more Nijinsky, and since he already carries a strain of Nijinsky, Blushing Groom.
Ribot is also an option, given that his family produced Run the Gantlet (Tom Rolfe) and that Thunder Gulch has produced well with Key to the Mint, Pleasant Colony, and Graustark. Tom Rolfe is especially interesting since Thunder Gulch has a stakes winner out of an Alzao mare, Alzao being out of a half-sister to Tom Rolfe.
Possible broodmare sires:
Broad Brush
Concern
Baldski
Personal Flag (Hoist the Flag)
Go For Gin
Pleasant Tap
Runaway Groom
Slew O'Gold
