Walmac Stallions

Having bred all my mares in Florida, Walmac sent me a letter recently that they apparently send to all their Florida Breeders offering a 50% cut in selected stallions if you register the resulting foal in Florida state-bred programs.
Eavesdropper @ $3,750
Old Deuteronomy @ $2,000
Sunday Break @ $3,750
Tenpins @ $3,250
Thunderello @ $2,500
Tropical Storm @ $2,500
Zavata @ $3,750
Thought it was a great oppurtunity for other Florida breeders, as well as smaller breeders looking for stud fee breaks. The Florida-bred programs are also good, if you're not familiar with them.

What a nice win-win. Walmac qualifies offspring in other state restricted stakes races. Helps their stallions bottom line and the discount pays for the cost of shipping, boarding and getting the mares bred. Pretty sweet deal for all.

Agree 100%. Of course, it just so happens I sold two broodmares last year and had my final pass away after being struck by lightning of all things.
Hopefully will pick up one in February.
Even Kentucky and regional breeders could find this deal really sweetens the pot.

I know they offered a simliar deal to Indiana mares last year; discounted rates if the foals become registered Indiana breds. Haven't heard whether they are doing it for Indiana again this year or not.

I also had the same offer and I live in Virginia. I maybe moving to PA in the near future, so don't know if it would apply to that state or not, but I haven't signed any contracts yet. It is a very nice offer.

Sounds like they got most the good breeder incentive states covered. Good to see a farm giving the smaller breeders a nice break. I commend them.

Got the letter today in Texas, but I'm all booked.

Ditto for the Texas-bred program.
