Comeonmom--good value at 3k

Postby bcassidy » Mon Jan 29, 2007 3:12 am

Another stallion I like in the 3k range is Comeonmom, he stands in Western NY and I get very good numbers on him in my private system. So I would definitely add Comeonmom to my list of stallions to consider who stand in NY. As some of you may know I also love Eltish, Lycius and now Comeonmom. Some very nice stallions at very attractive stud fees. There has been quite a bit of information about Eltish on the board recently but if anyone has any information to share about Comeonmom that would be helpful. Conformation flaws of his progeny would be most helpful.
best regards Brendan

Hi,

My opinion is this guy is awesome.
From Mt Livermore's family
He has one colt that has been pretty good runner inbred to The Axe II

Love to hear more of your thoughts on him.

http://www.readingfarm.com has pics

Thanks,
Chris

I love his pedigree, he sports a very strong female family. Gr1 winners, placings or producing through the first five generations on the bottom side. I can't wait to see him in the flesh. He could turn out to be a very good stallion....

My mares aren't do for another month or so, so I haven't seen him yet. When I do, I will take some pictures for you.

what a queen and Jersey Fresh to comeonmom and I think I will send Bridle Wave and Cullingtree road to Eltish, the rest of them go to my stallion, Honor Defend.
What a Queen, by Waqoit, would inbreed her on the bottom side of both Comeonmom and the mare through The Axe. A similar type of inbreeding seen in the pedigree of Comeonmom's best runner to date--Papi Chulo.
Jersey Fresh is being bred to him, because I want an outcross for her and his phenotype (which I need to confirm for myself before I book her to him) would be similar to her. I would like to add some distance to her pedigree and hopefully get a filly. That foal would have the potential to be a good broodmare for me. I love Jersey, and her foals. I have a beautiful yearling filly by my stallion and I am expecting another foal by him this year, I hope this one is a filly also. Hope that helps.
