Cappuchino

Postby Dave C » Sat Mar 03, 2007 10:33 am

I see this guy has moved from NY. Did breeders give up on him before his first crop came to the sales or did the owners just get an offer they couldn't refuse?

I had heard that he just wasn't accepted by breeders and the farm had to unload him.

Although I see he's still listed on their website so not sure what to make of it. Still ; wouldn't be surprised to see him go.

He moved? I saw him his first season and though his pedigree is impressive I didnt care for his build. Where has he moved to.

He's been banished to Highfield Stockfarms in Alberta, Can. Not quite sure why they brought him in as he would seem to be competing heads up for mares with the similarly bred Rosetti with neither being proven or disproven sires.

Highfield mailed out ads for him last week. I had heard earlier that they acquired him for duty but didn't want to say anything until I had something more substantial. Highfield also stands Captain Bodgit. They have very nice facilities, but I'm not quite sure what they are trying to accomplish with their selection of stock.

Thanks for the info about why he left NY. I don't think he will be particularly well received here either. Rosetti's first crop are 3yo of 2007, so Cappuchino is either going to be overshadowed or dragged down by people's experiences with Rosetti.

i saw "cap" in person about a month ago.....straight in the shoulder alittle....and his groom.............was scared shitless of him  ...and i kid you not ! the look of relief in the guys eyes when i told the stallion manager that there was no need to take cap out of his stall was priceless  ....cap looked a little crazy to be honest.

He does have a personality. They could'nt leave him out in a paddock that long either.
