Looking for advice on Limit Out, a WV stallion with 80% winners to starters and 16% stakes winners.

Should be standing in KY but, no hot, fashionable pedigree, i.e. Storm Cat. I owned a filly by him and she was a doll. Throws attractive foals. If I was closer I would breed to him. Excellent breed to race sire. Just my opinion.

I looked at three stallions at that barn and he was by far the most impresive. Both of the other two had much better pedigreesbut he was the man.
It's not only that 80% of his starters are winners and 16% are stakes winners but that he's doing this with very average mares.

Actually Griff, I see things to like in his pedigree. The female line seems fairly strong with producers of stakes winners all along and going back to the dam of In Reality (I love In Reality). In addition there is Princequillo on the dam's side, and I see other aspects I like such as Round Table and Rough 'n Tumble also on the dam's side. The gsv is nice and the mare conduit profiles suggest speed over stamina. His race record is good too. If you like his conformation, and he is good value (I don't know what his stud fee is), as well as having a record of improving mares - it seems as though he would be a good bet. One qualifier - with 3x4 RAN, I'd probably avoid adding any more RAN or Native Dancer to the mix. I look forward to hearing what you decide.

I don't own any stock in NayLee but thay have some very impressive stallions at very reasonable prices.
Do a hypo with your mare and Prospect Bay who was the number one stallion in Virginia before moving to NayLee. His pedigree is awsome and he is a proven producer. We've discussed Civilisation [Gone West X Toussaud] before and I'm told his get will do better as 3 YOs than they did as 2YOs and that they will do better long than the 4.5 furlong races most two year olds seem to be in at Ctown. I hope so as I have two 06 Civilisation colts that i'm going to start late. .
If you visit Naylee and view the stallions you'll probably opt for Limit Out. not only does he have that 80% winners and 16% stakes horse record but he is truely magnificent .

PS: There's also a Seattle Slew at NayLee you also may wish to consider.
