New sons of AP Indy at stud in 2007

Postby Rokeby Forever » Fri Mar 16, 2007 6:13 pm

AP Indy sires a lot of horses that are really big and/or don't stay sound, but his new stallions are, as a group, pretty durable horses. The Thoroughbred Times reports that there are 8 new ones:

AP Warrior - 13 career starts
Bernardini - 8 career starts (a modern day crime)
Brooklands - 12 career starts
Congrats - 26 career starts
Kentucky Pride - 38 career starts
Leading The Parade - 18 career starts
Shaniko - 16 career starts
Suave - 27 career starts
Alumni Hall (28 career starts) was to be retired but will try steeplechasing.

I had 10 minutes to kill, so I thought I'd also look up the 2007 roster of new Unbridled's Songs stallions - the Thoroughbred Times reports 6 new ones:

Fullbridled - unraced
Higher And Higher - 4 starts
My Golden Song - 6 starts
Rockport Harbor - 8 starts
Show Tune - unraced
Unbridled Energy - 8 starts

So, the moral of this story is: Breed to sons of A.P. Indy....

(Please form a neat line with your mares at the end of the driveway....)

Roguelet, I really didn't think AP Indy had so many durable sons, but this really opened my eyes. Compared to a lot of sire lines out there, you're 100% right - breed to sons of AP Indy!

Well I didn't have anything else to do and I thought the driveway seemed fun.

Not with all that mud and crap at the end of it from the bus.

The mare. My partner has the limo.

Not only do I not have a mare, I don't have a partner, which is why I was hanging out at the end of the driveway.

Don't hang out there too long... Rogue's likely to hand you a baby or a rake and tell you to make yourself useful.

It's too cold out there for the baby, but you could take that rake and start filling in those bus ruts with gravel, if you're bored...

Actually, the ruts are in the end yard by the road, not really the driveway, so the ruts won't affect the mares coming in as long as the driver can stay on the driveway... we know at least one driver can't do that.

Thanks for the reminder; I need to call the County people back...

Geo, Indy said he'd snuggle with ya!
