My Friend Max is doing some good since getting to Louisiana from Panama. He's had a slew of stakes winners and track record setters, and a.e.i. is strong compared to mares...but the U.S. starters aren't that many. However, he had some champions in South/Central America...my question is, how would a champion in Colombia and Panama fair in a U.S. graded race? Similar, or not, in ability? I am thinking of sending a mare to him. Plus he's good a great pedigree and is out of the Lassie Dear dam line that produced A.P. Indy, and so is his nearby cousin Kipling who is booked full in Oklahoma. I couldn't get a mare to him recently, they are booked solid. Kipling is getting stakes winners everywhere right now, including a grade 1 winner last month.
Also, noticing that Desert God and Precocity have great dam families, which might account for why they are getting a decent amount of stakes winners in New Mexico. Desert God is out of that "Best in Show" line similar to Redoubt's Choice, and Precocity is out of Distorted Humour's dam line. Interesting stuff.

My friend max is a full brother to Outflanker who now stands in Md. I love Outflanker so there is no reason why MFM shouldn't also be a very good sire. They hail from a great female family and have every right to be a very potent stallion. Danzig is certainly one of the better ND sons to ever stand which certainly doesn't hurt the pedigree either. I love the influences of Turn To and Tom Fool in his pedigree. Even though I don't have any numbers on him from my own evaluation system ( I do get very good numbers on Outflanker) I would certainly expect him to be a very good producer from his pedigree alone. Good luck with your mare.....
