Hyperion line Stallions
Are there any left in North America? Are there any significant lines left in the world?

The Star Kingdom line is arguably the most important breed-shaping sireline in Australia although it is presently being eclipsed by Danehill. The biggest name still at stud is Canny Lad, who is getting up there in age. His multiple Gr-1 winning son He's No Pie Eater is currently running and may take up the colours for his sire. Other Star Kingdom line sires include Hurricane Sky and Dodge, useful stayer Kauto Star, Show A Heart, and champion sprinter Our Maizcay. I think there is a young Gr-1 winning Star Kingdom line horse whose name I can't remember that has just started out.
Note to Aussie breeders: look at the pedigrees of Hurricane Sky and He's No Pie Eater, and then take your Last Tycoon mares to Canny Lad.
In Europe, Cadeax Genereux is holding the torch. His sons Bahamian Bounty and Touch Of The Blues may carry it for him.
In South Africa, Goldmark is the lone descendent of Forli (ARG) via Golden Thatch. His best offspring is a gelding.
In North America there are still a few sons/grandsons of Nodouble, sons of Medeival Man, and maybe a Rollicking-line or two in Maryland, and that's about it.

I don't know where on earth I thought Kauto Star was a Star Kingdom line horse standing in Oz, rather than a rather successful jumper in the UK. The Star Kingdom-line stayer (a rarity in and of itself) was Curata Storm. Go figure.
The young Star Kingdom line horse I had in mind was Reenact. His first foals have just started running.

Hyperion was once a dominant world wide sire line that has all but disappeared here in North America. Often the fall of a sire line is accompanied by a selection in the most successful sires that excludes that stallion's blood, but the most notable exception in North America are the Nearctic line stallions like Northern Dancer and Icecapade who readily accept Hyperion blood and can produce top stallions that carry him.
Your colt has a wonderful pedigree. He has Hyperion 5x6x7 through Lady Angela in Northern Dancer, through Aristophanes in Sadler's Wells and Pensive in Alydar. I don't see any problem with Hyperion in your colt's pedigree.

Old Spice in Western Australia still gets the odd good horse. He is responsible for Rogan Josh still to my knowledge the only horse with any star kingdom to win the cup
