Anyone else super-impressed with his physical? Great looking stallion with a ton of presence. A little hot though...
His foals have looked the part too with mediocre mares.

A few yrs back while looking over NY sires I got the chance to look at what Empire Stud had to offer. At the time there was only Wiseman's Ferry and CRAP-A-Ccinno.
Wf was by far head and tails above the other young stallion. He was a far classier animal. Being a NY breeder I find it hard to make any plans a yr in advance as the stallions shuffle around like they are going out of style. (lol maybe they did...hence the moves on many of them) I was happy however to see WF move to KY and not to some developing state bred program.
I felt he was a nicely built stallion with a very nice pedigree and his foals that season were big correct and just as handsome as the old man!
His first crop are now 2 yr olds? Is that correct?

Hi Maven and RudyDee,
RudyDee,
You could get to Distorted Humor in his 4th season for about $4,000 too. It's true of any stallion that they're get need to come out running and I suspect that Castleton-Lyons is just looking to keep numbers up for Wiseman's Ferry.
Maven,
Wiseman's Ferry is a good looking horse and several NY breeders purchased shares in him on conformation as much as anything else.
I wasn't impressed with his race record in North America. He backed off most any top quality horse he faced. He defeated Sarava before that one moved up a few races before he Belmont. He did beat The Judge Sez Who, an honest sort but I like to see more quality in the opposition.
That said, Distorted Humor backed off Wild Rush in the Met Mile and it didn't hurt him much.
Regards,
Pete
