Full Mandate, a stakes-winning son of A.P. Indy, was represented by his first winner May 16 when his son, Thoroughly, won at Hollywood Park at first asking. Bred in Florida by Annabel and William F. Murphy, the colt captured a five furlong race in :58.45 by 4 3/4 lengths for Gerson Racing. He is the third winner from the Slewacide mare King's Pact.

Full Mandate, who is out of the Deputy Minister mare Clear Mandate, stands for $5,000 at Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds, Walmac South near Ocala, Fla.

I know FOS has been touting this horse for a while. Did the horse win a msw or was it a mcl?

Hi Folks,

King's Pact, dam of Thoroughly is the 6th and last foal out of the good Dr. Fager mare, Cult (1974), who produced top class race mare Coup De Fusil (G1) as well as SWs Guyana and Liturgism (dam of Millions).

Cult went 12 years between her 5th foal (Litany) in 1983 and King's Pact in 1995. Persistence paid off.

Regards,

Pete

Full Mandate

Postby Keith » Fri Jun 08, 2007 3:09 pm

Full Mandate is a very well bred being by A.P. Indy and out of Clear Mandate. He is also a half brother to Storm Cat stallion Newfoundland Clear Mandate the dam of Full Mandate is out of a half sister to Belmont Stakes winner Creme Fraiche.

One runner does not make him a top notch stallion but he does have the bloodlines capable of making him a very successful stallion.

It is interesting when talking about half brothers as Malibu Moon is by A.P. Indy and Parker's Storm Cat is obviously by Storm Cat. Will Full Mandate become successful like Malibu Moon who is by the same sire?
