Put it Back
For whatever it is worth, I am getting very solid numbers in my private system on Put It Back. Not a bad stud for 5k. Someone to keep your eye on.
best regards Brendan
hi bcassidy...hi Danzig
If you're looking for a sprinter, I can understand that Put It Back (as a sire) might be worth a close look. After all...not only does he have sprinter written all over him, but also his son Smokey Stover is arguably the top sprinter in the country (at this time).
That said...if a quality two-turn runner and/or a classics threat is what you're looking for, how might you regard Put It Back (as a sire)?
Regardless

I can't remember the last time anything nice was ever said about a Hobeau Farm bred stallion. LOL!

He's gotten a few decent miler-types to this point and in light of the fact that it appears that a vast majority of his matings were of the "speed on speed" variety, I think it may be a little too early to state he is nothing but a sprint sire. In my opinion, it will be at least another fews years before such a definative statement can be made.
Nonetheless, one thing that I find impressive is his ability to sire progeny with the ability to take to both grass and dirt surfaces - and not just on restricted levels. If the enthusiasm for all-weather surfaces continues, I suspect this will be a very desireable trait for sires in the future to possess.
