Theatrical

Postby Mood Swings » Sat Jun 09, 2007 6:38 am

Just curious if any of you have any Theatrical offspring out there? What are their temperments like? Every one that I have dealt with have been #*!^ !! obstinate  They are tough SOB's. Is it just my experiences?

Thanks :)

I never met a Theatrical that I didn't fall in love with, personality and everything...

Theatrical himself was the best behaved stallion in the breeding shed.. FWIW

By obstinate I do not mean nasty just obstinate. These are foals and yearlings btw. They are friendly in the stall and pasture but if they do not want to do something, well they flat out do not do it! I can think of seven and they are all the same - honest! At least they are cute ;)

You have to ask them nicely to do something, try "whispering".

Our friend Bettina Jenney's Theatrical filly, Mrs. Lindsay, just missed yesterday at Longchamps in a graded stakes, after leading most of the way! She loves her.

Portland Player was a Victoria Derby winner over here. He is a very attractive jet black stallion who has not met with great success at stud despite coming from a good family.

My filly is by a theatrical mare and yes, she has that 'attitude'... spoke with a lot of people closely connected to Theartical and he was definitely a tough SOB and his offspring are very much like that.... but they can RUN!

They actually have to hand walk him at Hill N Dale, becuase he raises a ruckus in the paddocks... even to this day!
