War Emblem - done?
Story is at Bloodhorse. He batted "0" this year. What would his worth be now? If he were to return to the US, where would he fit in?

Didn't see the photo, what was so bad about it?
I am sure there are many places that would be happy to try with WE in a pasture setting. Give him his own herd of mares and see what happens in a year or two. Otherwsie I think he'd be welcome at Old Friends. Now he wouldn't be WORTH much. If they wanted to charge real money they'd have to be prepared to give the real money back if he never got any foals I'd think. Nobody is going to risk a large sum of money for a horse that they'd tried everything (else) with. They'd be stupid to.

Sunday Silence...maybe he has a future career as an interior decorator?

I would say get him back to the states as soon as possible. He might show up on a dinner table in the Far East. Especially now that his handlers in Japan do not want to go on with him. Maybe try him as a pasture stallion here but if he has not one iota in breeding a mare...geld him. Why keep him intact?
Something soured him on breeding 'cause he did cover mares that foaled in 2004 and 2005. Not big crops, but he did cover mares. But after that, that was it. Covered one mare in 2006 that didn't get in foal. I think he's messed up in the brains and in the hormone department.

Either that , OR the first year., Shadai presented WE with 320 mares after he refused to breed after a few.
I am of the opinion War Emblem is a smart horse. Saw that future ahead of him and packed it in

Unreal that they breed to that many mares...when did it become fashionable for studs to cover 100, 200, 230 mares in a season (and sometimes shuttle to do that many more)? More bang for the buck/yen/pound I guess. And how many of those mares bred settle and produce live foals after 11 months? Hopefully Old Friends can get him back here....
