So why is he now on Starquine for $16,000?

He was also in the Bloodhorse, so I was wondering the same thing?

SIGH... I figured I'd make my money and sell him fast. I suspected that he would get more, but I wanted to turn him quickly. He's a lovely horse and I hope he ends up being very successful. I had sold him to a Louisiana stud, but I know that he was headed to Oklahoma.
His 3/4 sister's first foal just wired the competiion in her first outing at Saratoga.... ouch! Someone else will have to benefit from the new earnings under that first dam.
And just between us... would YOU pay $16,000 for a 9 year old son of Woodman, just off the track? Seems a bit high to me. Of course, he'll sell for that and I'll kick myself for a week.

how disappointing for the folks who used Fingerlakes to find a good home for their retired racehorse. I'm sure they could have tried to make a buck too.

ouch... that smarts. You had been so kind about when I purchased him. I bought him privately from a trainer and never misrepresented my intent. I found quickly that standing a stud was going to be a lot more expensive than I wanted, and I seriously had no plan to "make" a stallion. He'll be somewhere where he can be successful.
Let's be friends again?
