Best Speed Stallions

A thread about the fastest horse currently on the track got me thinking about who are the best speed stallions standing at stud today.
Immediately Marquetry comes to mind. He's underrated, he's at an extremely reasonable price, has sired two Eclipse Champion sprinters, and I believe is the only stallion to stallion besides Mr. Prospector, to sire two Breeders' Cup Sprint winners.

Put It Back is a decent sort and is having a pretty good year.

hi Maven...hi kimberley mine
Seems to me that a YOUNG up-and-comer (previously mentioned by kimberley mine) that might be worthy inclusion on a list of the best speed stallions standing at stud today is Put It Back.
His first crop (2-yos of 2005) numbered a mere 34 named foals, and his 2nd crop (2-yos of 2006) numbered 41 named foals. His 3rd crop of 2-yos races this year.
That said...he's already sired the very speedy G2-winning sprinter Smokey Stover, and recent G1 Del Mar sprint winner In Summation. Those two might even face each other in G1-BC Sprint.
Put It Back might not yet be a household name, or particularly fashionable...but it seems to me that he's sired (from relatively limited opportunity) a couple of front-page sprinters that have arguably captured the imagination.
Respectfully

Very true, and another carrier of the Man o' War sire-line. I must say, Honour and Glory gets ripped up by a lot of people, but I love him and if Put it Back is any indication, he may be an interesting sire of sires for the Man o' War line.

I'll add Trippi and Concorde's Tune to the list. But with the case of Concorde's Tune, he can get you ANYTHING. What a terrific, little, cheap stallion. I have every reason to get something cheap to breed to him next year.

In Excess might be the PREMIER speed stallion today.

besides producing the fastest horse I have ever seen with my own two eyes (Indian Charlie), what has he done?

He has sired some good 2 turn horses like Fleet Indian, Bwana Charlie, and Pampered Princess, but the problem with In Excess foals is that they're extremely fast and a lot of them break down after 3 or 4 races. Indian Charlie didn't last long!

Indian Charlies trainer didn't help either
BAffert training iNdian Charlie is like throwing napalm into a fire and wondering what's going to happen

Actually, Rokeby is correct. In Excess could be the best speed stallion in all the land.

Going back a few postings to what Maven had said...why is it that Honour and Glory gets such little respect ?

Swiss Yodeler.....in California should certainly be considered among the consistent sires of speedy offspring...
