Cornering The Market

Postby fastappy » Mon Aug 20, 2007 7:06 pm

Nelson Bunker Hunt tried that in the 80's, in the silver market with his brother (Herbert) and incurred a 1.1 billion loan to pay their debts. This horse market seems a lot more elusive, but on the other hand Sheikh Mohammed probably has a little more coin.

With all those new stallions coming on line and the popularity of Street Cry, I would imagine it will be chaos in 2008, if most of them are at Jonabell.

Out of Racing Post (GB):

"Ferguson said: "The horse is going to continue to race for the Baron. He and Andre Fabre will make all the racing decisions. The horse will retire to a Darley farm, probably either Dalham Hall or Kildangan.""
