I thought you might be interested to see the list of stallions that have produced stakes winners in the last 60 days in the Northern Hemisphere. The stakes winners refers only to stallions standing in North America or Europe and only stakes races run in those two continents over the 60 day period.

The Charlies Iles Express Handicap at Alberquerque? WTF???

I'm not sure what was "Express" about this race - it was run more than seven seconds off the track record for six and a half furlongs. But, I guess a stake is a stake...and, I congratulate Mr Brogers both on this victory and his excellent use of marketing tools. LOL!

Brogers, that adds up to 101 stakes in 60 days. That seems a little light considering all the tracks. Is there a minimum stake, like black type rules, to make this list, or is the Ferndale Charlie Palmer Handicap included?

I was so happy to see Malibu Moon way up there with some really smart company. He had several stakes horses on Labor Day weekend (one winner, By the Light); can I assume that the last 60 days means as of Sept 6?

I have a feeling (and Byron can confirm or deny it) that Byron's list only includes Stallions that sired 2 or more SWs in the last 60 days.

I only listed the top 25 stallions. There are a heap more that had 2 stakes winners or less. It includes stakes races by International Cataloguing Standards. Whatever is considered a stakes race under these rules are in the count. It is the last 60 days to the 6th of Sept.

Oh yeah, there would've been more than only two stallion's with only 2 SWs if you included them all.

Well there is a question of the quality of the stakes winners. Real Quiet didn't make your list, yet Midnight Lute won a grade 1 in fantastic style. Not really sure I trust this list.

Thanks Maven! We're only selling one this year (a Vindication) but next year we'll probably offer five or so, and we're very pleased with what we have.
