Here is a GREAT wisdom about lies, damn lies, and statistics.

http://breeding.bloodhorse.com/sirelist ... AWSire.asp

Notice who is at the top. He's a very good, useful regional stallion...

...but it should be NO SURPRISE that 73% of his earnings are on poly...

...and it should be NO SURPRISE that 8 of the top 25 leading poly stallions are located in Ontario.

The moral of this story is to beware small sample size error! There are still so many tracks running on dirt that trying to generalize who is good on the synthetics off of this data is bound to have skewed results.

Now go breed your mare to Bold Executive for proven class on the AWT.

I looked at that list last week, yes it is very skewed. From my experience of watching & handicapping races I tend to play anything Danzig first time on the poly & any Gone West-Mr Greely with Deputy Minister. I also play overall versitile pedigrees such as Rahy & More Than Ready's. No facts there thats just my opinion.

Well right. It is heavily skewed toward Canadian and Californian sires because that's where most of the syntrack racing is going on. A.P. Indy's right up there near the top though :-)
