Stage Colony- can somebody help me analyze

I was a member of another board and we had a "just for fun" hypo-mating thread. I stumbled onto Stage Colony, who stands at Buck Pond, and he became a favorite of mine for his stamina influences. I'm wondering what is so wrong with him that he isn't standing for more than the $1,000 that he is listed at currently. Is it just the stamina-heavy pedigree or is there something else that I'm not aware of?

I've just gotten into pedigree reading pretty heavily over the summer (although I've followed thorougbreds and pedigrees for the better part of 25 years) and would love to learn from some of you.
