Whoever says Smart Strike is not worth 75k is drunk on drugs. The guy had 3 G1 winners in 1 freakin day. English Channel, Fabulous Strike and Curlin. Which moves him to number 1 in rankings. Well deserved

Agreed that he is worth $75K. We would be lucky to breed to him for that fee in 2008. I feel his fee with be $100K or more. While this stallion does not throw the "commercial, flashy looking" foals that tend to bring the big bucks at auction; he gets runners at a success rate worthy of a fee greater than many $100K+ stallions standing today. I would say Smart Strike and Distorted Humor are the two stallions to take the "big" mares from Unbridled's Song and the like. Unbridled's Song at $200K or Smart Strike at $75K? It's a no-brainer if breeding to race, and should be if breeding commercially too.
