Not especially. The dam was a good G1 winner herself. He has the best book ever afforded to a young stallion. He SHOULD be getting some big horses in his first two years.

She made a good run but she's got his action. It's certainly not pretty. She should be an interesting playin the BCJF though.

I've liked Empire Maker all along. Overpriced to start his career? Probably, but Juddmonte bred a lot of nice mares of their own.

As Maven has said, EM did get an unbelievably strong book his first year and he better have some runners from that 1st crop. I believe he will. As I have mentioned, I think his half brother, Chester House was on his way to proving himself before his untimely fate.

They should be heard from more next year, but today was a nice start. She definitely is not the smoothest of movers though.

His book is so strong that it made me confident to breed to him in a bubble year. Mine will be heading to the yearling sales next year, and I figured he would have two or three big horses by next year that will make him hot. There is no way some of those mares aren't going to carry him.

He had Country Star break her maiden in a Grade I yesterday. So much for Allowance Maidens..

There just has to be an Unbridled son to carry on the line, hopefully it's him. Saarland certainly has a blue blood pedigree, but he didn't get the same quality mares.

Unbridled's Song seems to be doing a good job as a successor, although his aptitude tends to be different than Unbridled's.

I assume you're talking about a stamina successor?

Yes, and Broken Vow is quickly becoming a very nice stallion at a more reasonable fee.
