Pleasantly Perfect?
I am looking for some insight and/or opinions on this one. I know he's a big and strong looking horse. Has anyone seen any of his foals/yearlings? I'm partial to Pleasant Tap and wondering if this one is worth the $30K.

You might want to look at the Pleasant Colony line as a whole and ask yourself if $30K is reasonable for an unproven addition. Pleasant Tap's female tail screams "Sire!" a lot more than does Pleasantly Perfect's, at least to my way of thinking. Pleasantly Perfect was a top class racehorse, but so was Behrens.

you can get a hell of alot more proven for less (pleasant tap). with that said, what do you think of his yearlings that went through the sales ring?

Personally, I'd probably go to Pleasant Tap first, because I love him as a sire, but it truely depends on the mare. Commercially, Pleasantly Perfect is doing very well--they look good, and bring the money as a yearling ($96K average / $60K Median) to justify the $30K stud fee. But you'll take a bath selling one as a weanling ($15.4K Ave / $15K Med).
